HTR relies on its own vans and drivers
HTR once again strengthens an area with expansion and focuses on differentiation
HTR currently serves around 1,200 active customers throughout Austria and the neighbouring German-speaking regions with a focus on southern Germany. Around half of the customers already use the pick-up and delivery service, where HTR employees collect the goods from the customer's premises in an uncomplicated manner and then deliver them directly to the customer's door once the heat treatment has been completed.
HTR has been operating this service for many years on a scale that the industry has never seen before. Until 2022, the majority of this was handled by external service providers. HTR has decided to provide even better on-site support for our customers,
now carry out the majority of these transports with its own vehicles and personnel. The advantages are obvious - HTR has a clear presence at the customer and thus ensures that all efforts in this area actually serve customer satisfaction.
Since the first quarter of 2023, HTR has increased its own fleet from 1 van to 10 vans, covering more than 1,000,000 km per year! Accordingly, the number of employees at HTR has also risen sharply and currently stands at 70. Recruiting new drivers turned out to be less complicated than expected. On the one hand, HTR was able to recruit some drivers from the previous service provider and, on the other, the employee referral system worked extremely well in this case.
